The Outlaws travelled to Great Gaddesden looking for another win to secure qualification.

Skipper Adam lost the toss and the outlaws would bowl first.

T20 specialist opening bowlers Euan and Syed would as always get things rolling and it didn’t take long for normal service to follow as Guy took a catch off Syed. Sadly though the evening was about to take a dramatic turn! The Great Gaddesden batsmen (who didn’t play in the earlier match between the two sides) then had a 6 competition between them as to who could hit the most. Needless to say the pink ball was travelling to all parts and at some speed. All 8 bowlers for the outlaws were used to try and get a breakthrough, with every bowler on the end of some punishment. A 137 run partnership was finally broken by Adam with Hamish taking a good catch and it was a mere 50 runs later Dave got another, this time Ollie with the highlight in the field taking a one handed diving catch. Pumps then followed suit with a cracking catch on the boundary off Euan before Syed took the last wicket courtesy of Tom with the stumping. Neil and Adam the pick of the bowlers as the only ones to go at under 10 per over!

Great Gaddesden 240-4 off 20 Overs

A very impressive score however in T20 anything is possible and the message at half time was back yourself and show how good you are.

Opening up for the outlaws was Ollie and Tom, and these two started brightly with good running between the wickets and punishing the bad balls. Tom departed after a promising start which brought Pumps in at number 3. Pumps wasted no time at all and dispatched the ball to the boundary, including an equally impressive 6 to match theirs. Ollie then was out caught and when Pumps' good knock came to an end the outlaws (while up with the run rate) found themselves 105-4. Russel and Euan were then tasked with trying to keep things going and for a time they did just that. After Russel was caught a mini collapse then ensued as players had to swing from the hip! Guy, Adam and Dave all came and went which left Neil to end 0 not out. Now in every dark place there are always positives and this couldn’t be more true than the other batsmen who ended not out….. a certain Mr Euan Palmer. This young man fresh from his 50 last Sunday completed another half century to end 58 not out. While it may not have been his day with the ball, he certainly made up for it with the bat with some lovely reverse sweep shots and the composure to still play proper cricket shots.

The outlaws ended 159-7 off 20 Overs

The message after the game was in life as in cricket you're going to come up against better players. It’s a choice of do you complain about it or find a solution and to better yourself.

Man of the match - Euan who at this rate is going to need Phil to build him a bigger trophy cabinet.

A good crowd certainly got to see a few 6’s, with thanks to - Edwins Clan, Robertson Clan and Palmer Clan

Next up another away match, this time to Eggington
