Syed Sunday Sharks were looking to make it two wins on the bounce - This time at home against Luton Town Indians
Syed won the toss (again) and decided to bat first. Opening up would be Joe and Sachin, sadly while Joe faired better than Saturday he was out early and Chop entered a little earlier than he would of liked
Chop (with his new bat) soon went about his Joe Root work as always as if he had been playing non stop since last season
Once Sachin fell it was then Azeem time - The man who so many pin there fantasy points hope on, now the question was could he deliver ?
These two had the perfect game plan-Slow and steady to start , and then once Azeem got tired of to much running he would go through the gears - while at the other end Chop is always happy sitting in 3rd gear
Once the platform was laid it was time for the fireworks. Sadly Chop fell one short of his 50, but an excellent innings. Azeem was then joined by Junaid, by which time Azeem knew he had to go big otherwise he was faced with the prospect of running 3's with Junaid !
Junaid fell to shooter, while Adam and Jaco quickly came and went trying to up the run rate
It was left to Azeem to finish 95 not out - A simply stunning innings and helped EB to 187 off their 40 Overs
EB knew they had something to bowl at , but they needed to bowl straight. Sadly they did the opposite of that and paid the price , as Luton got off to a flying start
A change of bowling was needed. Adam bowed with great control to create pressure at one end , while Syed quickly ran through the top order at the other. This then brought EB right back into the game
It was then the turn of the spin twins (Chop and Junaid) to close the game out. First Junaid dismissed the two big hitters, before Chop ran through the tail
Chope and Junaid finished with 3 wickets each, while Syed took 4
Luton Town all out for 145 , meaning EB won by 42 runs
Another win, however it could of been a lot easier- so some good learnings to take
