The 2's travelled to Flitwick still looking for their first win of the season
Firstly, huge credit to Flitwick and their ground staff for getting the game on (They might of wished they hadn't bothered come 5pm)
The skipper won the toss (With a little help from Richard Chown) and EB took to the field
Jamie and Euan took the new ball, and on a green wicket caused havoc from ball one - Jamie only taking 5 balls to send middle stump flying
EB sensing an opportunity then turned to the skipper and Pramood who both quickly got into the action - Harish taking two very well judged catches - Raspass 3 and Pramood 1 wicket
EB then turned to the Pink Punters man himself - Mr Ian Jones
Barm then produced a birthday style performance to remove 4 Flitwick batsmen for only 11 runs
Flitwick all out for 74 - A stunning bowling and fielding performance from the whole team
Special mention to Jamie - 6 Overs , 4 Maidens , 1 Wicket for 3 Runs !
Lunch and birthday caterpillar cake was taken
So onto the simplest of run chases ..... Surely ?
Beef and Nas got things underway - And had it not been for the outfield still drying beef would of had a quick fire 25 - the man himself not impressed having to run for his runs as the ball plugged inches from the rope
Once both openers went , there was then the usual EB quick collaspe as Ben R and Pramood fell (Both it must be said to a drying/slow wicket)
Sachin thou calmed the nerves with a brilliant 36 not out as EB got over the line - Harish at the other end 10 not out
EB win by 6 wickets !!
Man Of The Match - Birthday Boy Barm
Highlights of the day - Jamie taking a catch, and not falling over the astro wicket,Beef using every part of his body to stop the ball in style, R Chown not being able to count to 6, Pramood sending the ball into space while bowling , the highest LBW decision ever given by a Flitwick umpire ,
Thanks to a good crowd of - Johnson family, Zara, DK and Syed (Who was resting in case you were wondering)
Next Up - Home vs Royal Herts
