On yet another stupidly hot Saturday the 2's took on Harpenden looking to break into the top 2 of the league

The skipper sadly lost the toss, and EB were sent out in the field all sun creamed up - Well all of us apart from Ben, who was ensuring the royal mails important parcels were delivered on time (Maybe a few thrown over the fences thou !) - Ben did arrive a few overs in

Pumps and Pramood were given the new ball, and it took pumps a mere 2 balls before he struck - A plumb LBW

The dangerous other opener for Harpenden was starting to show why he plays at a much higher level, but he also fell victim to another LBW this time from Pramood - A massive wicket for EB

Pramood picked up another wicket (Bowled) to end a great set from himself and Pumps

It was then the turn of the bald twins (Chop and Raspass) The skipper struck with his first ball (But it owes allot to quality of catch from Pumps, rather than the ball itself )

EB were really ontop now as Raspass picked up two more wickets , while at the other end Chop was tying the batsmen up in all sorts of knots but with no luck

Jaco then got in on the act with a smart stumping , before Raspass completed his five wickets with a well taken caught and bowled - A great spell of bowling to end him with 5-24

It was left to Neil "The Hoover" to mop up the tail with his customary two wickets

Harpenden ended 117 All Out

Opening up For EB would be Ben and Sachin, and these two slowly set about knocking off the runs. A fantastic 61 run partnership was ended as Ben fell LBW for 23

Ollie "Root" Harris sadly departed to a leaning edge. Sachin then was caught in the deep agonizingly 3 short of his fifty, a great knock with one massive 6 . When Hannah to a very unlucky inside edge onto pads then onto stumps EB were 4 down

Who better to see things home than DK and Chop thou - These two calmly and cleverly went about picking holes in the field and knocking off ones and two's .Chop 25, DK 18

EB 121- 4 Winning by 6 wickets

Another great win, and moves them up to second place
