The 2's entertained Hemel Hempstead on a blistering hot day at the Rye
The skipper lost the toss (And boy did it prove costly)
There are some days when you wake up and your hair just wont do what it should . And today seemed one of those days as the youthful Hemel openers quickly rattled through EB's top order
Sadly only three players made it into double figures - Pumps, Ben and Jaco
Now sadly Jaco while setting off (for what could of been a three) managed to twist his ankle badly and had to retire hurt. He did later come back with a runner, and seemed to bat better off one leg
EB skittled out for 95 !
A sub fielder was made at half time , and the battern (Or beer) was passed from Jaco to Barm
Firstly you have to give credit to Hemel who bowled well, but poor shot selection could be said for nearly half of the EB wickets
So...... The challenge was to repeat the feats of the Outlaws the night before (And on the same track)
An early breakthrough from the skipper got the hopes up - But again huge credit goes to the young Hemel batsmen who got their head down and played sensible cricket to steer their team to victory.
Liam (Fresh Trim) Norris picking up the other wicket as Hemel won by 8 wickets
Thanks to Harry Chown for taking the gloves at short notice
To add salt to the wounds a few dropped catches seemed to sum up the day for EB, but some great lessons were learned first hand at how "sensible batting wins games" rather than T20 style batting
A great crowd as always - The Chown Clan, Tamasin "Hair" Norris, Ozzie, Zara, Amy, The Nye Clan , DK and Paul Dimmock
Special mention to Hemel , for being such a lovely bunch and a credit to their club - We all cant wait to play them again (Even if their pitch is astro)
Next Up- Away vs Watford Town
