The 2’s welcomed West Herts for their first home game of the season

Looking to build on last weeks performance the skipper won the toss and would bowl first

Opening up Jerry and Syed set the tone, Jerry bowling with express pace- while Syed as steady as always at the other end

It was Jerry's pace that did for his 2 wickets (Jaco holding on at the fourth attempt for a catch)

First change of Raspass and Stefan had the task of carrying on the good work. What followed by Stefan was simply a unbelievable exhibition of spin bowling of the highest order

A total of 7 wickets, 3 of which were bowled and 3 LBW’s showed how much control he bowled with , a spell that even the great Shane Warne would of been proud of !

Raspass claimed the other wicket making it - Jerry 2, Stefan 7

Highlights in the field - Good catches from Jerry and Syed , Pumps a near one handed wonder catch, Raspass with a Jerry esk send off, Neil being a ball magnet, Barm needing to keep his legs closed and Keir and Daniel with some great ground fielding

West Herts All Out For 103

EB knew this was more than getable but needed to start well

Syed and Liam opened up , but sadly Syed missed out and fell to a full toss. Raspass then came and went after a few lovely boundaries picking out the fielder. Liam dug in and battled well taking a few blows (one painful one on his hip) but sadly his departure left EB 27-3 and in trouble

It was time for the terrible twins - Jaco and Pumps

With great pressure on these two they set about slowly ticking the scoreboard over, neither giving away a chance and playing some real clever cricket

As the runs ticked by and the end was in sight Pumps brought up his 50- a fantastic knock under pressure - and good fantasy points for who ever picked him this week

With only a few runs needed, Jaco clearly wasn’t in the mood to run- prompting Pumps to win the game with an almighty straight 6 down the ground (Special mention to Neil for finding the lost balls)

EB winning by 7 wickets

It was a complete team performance and while Stefan and Pumps will get the credit (And so they should) it shouldn't be underestimated that teams win games of cricket

Another mention to Ozzie for producing a cracking wicket with great carry and offered something for the bowlers (And for some great heckles from the boundary)
